A Case Series of Efavirenz Induced Gynaecomastia

Abstract

Antiretroviral therapy (ART) has ameliorated the endurance of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) patients. Nevertheless, antiretroviral drugs are extremely toxic and remain an important concern as they are linked with versatile adverse drug reactions. Gynaecomastia is consorted with exposure to anti-retroviral therapy specially due to Efavirenz. We report a case series of three patients who presented with gynaecomastia. One patient had to undergo surgery and other two patients received pharmacotherapy
