In general, meadows are used for grazing animals and producing fodder. Their use and exploitation can be performed in compliance with the environmental conditions, in accordance with the legal provisions in force. Grazing is an important factor in rearing animals. However, chaotic, intensive grazing can lead to a serious change in the surface water regime. In small hydrographical basins, there is the danger of modelling flash floods, which can endanger the socio-economic objectives downstream, leading even to loss of human life. This paper aims to study the modification of flood hydrographs resulting in the exit section of a small hydrographical basin following torrential rains, for the use of natural grassland, compared to meadow. To this end, the advanced hydroinformatic tool, MIKE11, developed by the Danish Hydraulic Institute, is used.
