This note reports some recent observations of collared flycatchers in the reproductive period in two lowland areas of northeastern Italy. These are observations of males in June at a site in the Pordenone plain (PN) and of a female with a brood patch ringed in a site in the Venetian plain (VE). The observations are interesting, above all, for the altitude that characterizes the two sites (20 m.a.s.l. and 1 m.a.s.l.), as the species is typically linked to forests in hilly and mountainous environments.
