PREDICCIÓN DE LA CURVA DE RUPTURA DE UN REACTOR DE LECHO FIJO DE HIDROPROCESAMIENTO DE ACEITE PESADO
Abstract
The numerical solution of a heavy oil hydroprocessing fixed bed reactor model was developed to determine the intraparticle deactivation profiles, throughout the reactor and as a function of time-on-stream, based on the continuous hypothesis, in order to obtain the breakthrough curve for a particular set of reaction parameters and conditions. The number of segments in spatial direction and the increments in time for model convergence were varied. For the simulated conditions, a site loss front was found, from the reactor inlet to the outlet, as a function of time. The profiles found from the simulations are in correspondence with the previous experimental observations. The breakdown curve allowed the determination of the maximum time of catalyst use to reach a predetermined level of reagent conversion.
