Abstract
In this artic1e a brief description is made about the present state of the cucapa people from El Mayor. In order to accomplish this some historic events, accounts about their way of making a living and the transformation of their natural environment are taken into consideration. The purpose is to illustrate the difficulty challenge that this ancestral group faces in the near future.
