Cavernoma of the corpus callosum revealed by focal seizures: An exceptional presentation
Abstract
We report herein a case of a cerebral cavernoma located in the genu of corpus callosum presenting with focal seizures in a 54-year-old male. Cavernoma in the genu of the corpus callosum represents 1% of supratentorial localization. Symptomatic lesions in the genu of the corpus callosum are rare and such abnormalities are frequently detected fortuitously on brain imaging. Only three similar cases have been reported in the literature and few mechanisms were advanced to explain epilepsy linked to a callosal lesion.
