Jorge Andrade, a História e o teatro paulista: um momento de renovação

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate some aspects of Jorge Andrade's playwriting, emphasizing, by an analysis of his most important plays, the writer's social contribution for Brazilian theater. In his plays, Jorge Andrade not only developed themes related do São Paulo's History, but also opened space in theater for the discussion of different approaches about the country's History.
