This article refers to a literature entitled "The Law 10.639/2003 - AN APPROACH CONCEPT" and aims to present the definition of concepts that permeate the Law 10.639/2003, which deals with the mandatory teaching of African History and Culture -Brasileira in schools. This concept is essential to the reader, can teacher, clarifying as their ways of working this subject in the classroom. It aims to guide the practice of vocational education, which through their studies, may contribute to the promotion of equality between people, excluding its pedagogical action thoughts and reflections laden with stereotypes, ideologies, labels and models in order to, establish a multicultural society
