William Osler, the father of modern medicine

Abstract

Interviews with History are biographical pieces of characters that have become the backbone of the specialty we know as Rheumatology. They are based on texts written by Dr. Antonio Iglesias, prepared by our journalist Estefanía Fajardo de la Espriella in the form of fictitious interviews that can provide us with a contemporary view of the people and their contributions. They are complemented and edited by Dr. Carlo Vinicio Caballero. In this new interview with history we move forward to the late 19th and early 20th centuries to review the contributions of William Osler the father of modern Western medicine and a pioneer of rheumatology
