Abstract

Este escrito analisa a definição que os pescadores artesanais do mar-alto da praia de Suape (PE) realizam sobre seu trabalho, ao categorizá-lo de belo. O belo é associado ao trabalho pesqueiro feito com perfeição, de maneira autônoma e aprazível. O que se traduz em formas de humanização do mar e do modo de vida dos próprios pescadores, produzindo, assim, uma estética marítima pesqueira.This paper examines the definition that the craft fishermen of Suape beach (PE) carry on their work, categorizing it as beautiful. Beauty is associated with the fishing work done with perfection, autonomously and pleasantly. That is reflected in the ways of the sea humanization and in the livelihoods of the fishermen themselves, thereby producing a maritime fishing aesthetics.
