Invasive aspergillosis (IA) is a life-threatening infection observed in children with immunodeficiency. IA is uncommon in bronchial asthma (BA). Here, we report a case of a 5-year-old immunocompetent female who was treated with systemic steroids for acute exacerbation of BA and later developed IA with dissemination. Despite aggressive management, the patient succumbed to the illness. This case highlights the importance of considering IA in children with underlying predisposing factors and clinical worsening despite appropriate antibiotic therapy. Early diagnosis and prompt initiation of antifungal therapy are crucial in improving outcomes.
