Abstract
Among the neurologic diseases,C.V.A(Cerebro Vascular Accident) is the most prevalent cause of fatality, that makes also a great number of patients disable to do their daily activities. So we can reduce the mortality rate by knowing the risk factors. In this study we tried to find frequency rate of Ischemic C.V.A and its risk factors. In this study we used 386 patients folders, the diagnosis was generally based on clinical symptoms and CT- scans in 1994-1995. The studied risk factors were: blood pressure, diabet , age , sex , hyperlipidemia, smoking and heart diseases. Analysis of the data showed that the most prevalent kind of C.V.A was Ischemic and the greatest risk factor was blood pressure. As the known risk factors of Ischemic C.V.A are the same kind that can be investigated and treated simply, so it is probable that we will be able to avoid occuring it, by controlling these factors.
