On the Founder of the Skripou Church: Literary Trends in the Milieu of Photius

Leo’s dedicatory poem, inscribed in 873/4, with its classical allusions has affinities with the culture and circle of Photius, and so the author may be the protospatharios Leo addressed in Photius ep. 209.
