The Literary Component in the ELE Manuals at the Universidad de Oriente

Abstract

The literary texts have gained ground in the classes of Spanish as a foreign language in spite of the resistance of some authors. The literature provides a repertoire of possible sociocultural situations that the professor of ELE can use for the development of linguistic, pragmatic, communicative skills. ELE manuals still have literary texts for grammar work.
