THE SOCIAL ASPECTS OF MORALS OF VIDURA NĪTI

Abstract

Vidura Nīti is one of the finest creations in Sanskrit Literature. It belongs to the Udyoga Parva of the Sacred Scripture Mahābhārata. And Vidura is one of the Prime characters of the Mahābhārata which suggests many ideal thoughts to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and describes the entire Mahābhārata war in front of him from sitting in the house. He has a divine vision by which he can as know all. In this Modern Era, this Nīti Śāstra of Vidura became one of the guidebooks of sincere persons. Vidura Nīti contains eight chapters from thirty-three to forty of the Udyoga Parva of the Mahābhārata. This paper describes the social aspects of morales of Vidura Nīti in brief.
