Abstract

This article pleads in favour of introducing studies of Rromani literature into the epistemology of interdisciplinary literary comparatism. It presents the theoretical, esthetical and sociological questions that were asked in Europe since 1930. Founder of these studies in France, the author also reports on experience in research and teaching in order to tranform the field into a new discipline.
