Selected administrative and legal conditions for the implementation of quality processes in the proper functioning of local government units

Abstract

Objectives The main aim of the work is to introduce the recipient to the administrative and legal conditions for the implementation of quality processes in the proper functioning of local government units. The characteristics of various quality levels will be presented, with the specification of public services, as well as conducting a self-assessment within the management control functioning in the local government unit. Material and methods Among the methods and research methods used, the descriptive method played a significant role. The verification method was used in order to draw conclusions on the basis of the observations made and the tests performed. In the research process, a retrospective (ex post) analysis was used and the dogmatic and legal method was used, the main purpose of which was to interpret the provisions of law and review the available literature on the subject. Results The assumptions made indicate that in the areas of quality assessment, the need for high quality of services rendered is becoming more and more apparent. A very positive effect of the results obtained is the rapidly growing awareness among citizens that technological development, compliance with the law, or discipline of the officials themselves contribute to increasing the quality of many processes and tasks carried out by local government units.
