Analysis of factors affecting the productivity of coalbed methane wells in Houxia Basin, Xinjiang
Abstract
The coalbed methane production of single-well varies widely and low in Houxia Basin, Xinjiang, indicating complexity control factors on the coalbed methane productivity. The statistical analysis, linear regression method and grey correlation mathematical analysis method were utilized to quantitatively characterize the screened factors affecting the single-well production capacity of coalbed methane wells. Based on the single-well capacity of coalbed methane wells in Houxia Basin, coalbed methane wells can be mainly classified into three types. Class I coalbed methane wells have good reservoir characteristics, and the drainage and production effect is good by using small sand and liquid addition strength combined with small pressure drop; class III coalbed methane wells have poor reservoir characteristics, especially low gas content, and it is difficult to obtain better drainage and production results by adopting the same reservoir reconstruction means and drainage and production system. Based on the quantitative evaluation and analysis of 22 factors that affect the productivity of coalbed methane wells, the research shows that the gas content has a significant control effect on the productivity of coalbed methane wells, and the reasonable formulation of reservoir reconstruction degree and drainage and production system is the key to the efficient production of coalbed methane wells.
