The economy of a country ought to be very prosperous to maintain its stability. Agriculture was the main occupation of the people during the Sangam period. Thus, the main duty of the king is to take the country on the path of economic development. The king needs to increase the country’s revenue in a planned way, save it, preserve it and provide it to the people at the proper times. It means that the economical condition is something very essential for managing a country. There must be planning on how to achieve that target wealth and how to use it for action is very vital for the country. In describing the economic prosperity of king Pari of Parambu Malai, the article focuses on the economical situation of his country. The reason why the Moovendars fought in an attempt to capture the Parambumalai for its natural resources has been found in Tamil literary sources. The purpose of this article is to illustrate the defeat of Pari, the Plunder of the Moovendars and the plight of Pari’s daughters in the absence of royalty and wealth are discussed in the article.
