This paper carries out an analysis of Apache and Chichimeca Indians’ rebellions in the north of New Spain. They were enslaved in colonial Cuba from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 19th century. It presents a demystification of everything published on the subject till now, ending with the description of those rebellions’ development, challenging the Spanish authority in the island and its economic and social stability.
