PENGEMBANGAN PASAR LELANG FORWARD KOMODITAS BAHAN OLAH KARET (BOKAR) DI PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN

Abstract

Permintaan karet dunia terus meningkat sejalan dengan peningkatan kebutuhan industri karet global untuk negara-negara seperti Amerika Serikat, Jepang, Eropa, dan China. Potensi dan peluang dapat meningkatkan ekspor karet alam Indonesia, untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani yang memproduksi bahan Karet (bokar), secara tidak langsung. Namun, kurangnya harga referensi dari karet rakyat di tingkat nasional, membuat para petani selalu dirugikan, karena harga cenderung ditentukan oleh pedagang dan produsen, dan membuat lemah posisi tawar petani, sehingga pengembangan lelang pasar ke depan menjadi potensi dan peluang untuk penjualan bokar yang dapat menguntungkan petani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pasar lelang forward dari bokar memiliki potensi dan peluang sebagai tempat yang baik untuk transaksi yang lebih menguntungkan untuk para petani. Melalui pasar lelang forward, petani diminta untuk bersedia dan mampu berkelompok, untuk menghasilkan kualitas bokar yang baik, sehingga nilai penjualan bokar ini lebih tinggi, karena dijual oleh kelompok dengan cara lelang. ABSTRACTWorld rubber demand increased continuously in line with the increase in global rubber industry needs forthe countries like US, Japan, Europe, and China. The potential and opportunity should boost Indonesia's natural rubber exports, provide to increase the income of farmers that producing Material Rubber (bokar), indirectly. However, the lack of reference prices of rubber smallholder at the national level, made of the farmers always disadvantaged, because the prices tend to be determined by the traders and manufacturers, and made weak thebargaining position of farmers, so the development of forward auction market into the potential and opportunities for bokar’ssales that can benefit the farmers. The results showed that the forward auction market of bokar has the potential and opportunities as a good place for transaction that more profitable for farmers.Through the forward auction market,the farmers were required to be willing and able to associated, producedgood quality of bokar, so that the Bokar’s value of sale was higher, because beingsold by the association in a auction way.
