Goiás: a invenção da cidade "Patrimônio da Humanidade"

Abstract

Neste artigo, investigo a instituição de Goiás como uma cidade histórica e turística, entrelaçando séries discursivas que conferem visibilidade e sentidos à cidade ao trabalhar as relações do espaço urbano, o tempo e a história: a delimitação da cidade como bem cultural por meio da incorporação na ordem do discurso do Patrimônio Nacional; a invenção das tradições locais promovida pela Organização Vilaboense de Artes e Tradições; a produção da cidade "Patrimônio da Humanidade" no Dossiê de Goiás e a escrita da memória de Cora Coralina, que configura significados para o passado inscrito na textura material da cidade.In this article, I investigate the institution of Goiás as a historical and touristic town, interweaving discoursives series that gives visibility and meanings to the town by working the relations of urban space, time and the history: the delimitation of the town as a cultural values through the incorporation of the National Patrimony discourse; the invention of local traditions promoted by Organização Vilaboense de Artes e Tradições; the production of the town "Patrimony of Humanity" in the Dossier of Goiás and the writing of Cora Coralina's memory that takes the form of the past inscribed in the texture of the town material.
