Vigilancia Epidemiólogica

Abstract

Epidemiological surveillance is an essential tool for controlling processes either in hospital and in the public health system. Adequate implementation of this tool, lets to define with higher precision, the health indicators from institutions, reflecting the quality of care level that they render. This review pretends to provide characteristics elements of epidemiological surveillance, from its definition towards its evaluation.
