HISTORICAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL MODELING OF THE ALBAZIN FORT DURING THE SECOND SIEGE. III
Abstract
In previous works, the authors presented 3D models of artillery bastions, a powder magazine and dugouts. However, for the most complete three-dimensional visualization of the Albaza fortress, it was necessary to develop three–dimensional models of its missing elements - a travel tower and corner blockhouses, as well as an armory hut and a grenade cellar. In addition, it was established that for the full-fledged placement of the garrison, given that a larger number of its defenders were constantly directly in combat positions, the total number of really necessary dwellings required at least half the number of 826 people. Noting that on the generalized topographic plan of the settlement, synthesized with the map of Maak, 13, one way or another, confirmed residential semi-dugouts can be identified, therefore, in order to achieve their desired number of 21 dugouts, it is necessary to choose the most rational location of eight more similar buildings. The authors have taken an integrated approach in reproducing the above-mentioned models of structures of the Albaza fortress, based on data on the general structure of similar structures of the period under consideration. And the complex integration of all the intermediate results of the described study, as well as their sequentially modified versions, allows us to form a sufficiently justified three-dimensional computer reconstruction of the Albazin fortress of 1686, presented in this article.
