Abstract
Outdoor spaces are important for developing physical, social and affectionate skills. Social, economic and special changes, however, have interfered on the use of these spaces, with a possibility of bringing harm to children’s health and development. This review examined the factors that have been identified as intervening in the use of these spaces. Were analyzed studies published from 2005 to July 2010 in two databases (Science direct and Psyc net). The results indicated that several factors are involved, including the conditions of planning, psychosocial and physical factors. However, there was little attention to the study of the relationship children and use of spaces. This generated data was inconclusive.
