Papel vs. digital: hábitos de lectura de los estudiantes de la UEM

Abstract

In this article are included the results obtained in a study done in the School of Arts and Communication of the Universidad Europea de Madrid, with Journalism and Media Studies students. The aim of this study is to check the subjects’ reading habits in press referring to format. In this way they decoded the information included in the same newspaper number through: iPad, ereaders and paper format. For reading the digital edition the software Calibre –an electronic contents manager– was used. Finally, a survey was conducted to check the students’ preferences, as well as the advantages and disadvantages found. At last, the survey results were compared to the ones included in the Barómetro de hábitos de lectura y compra de libros (2012).
