Classification of eggs in hatchery for production broiler
Abstract
This work aimed to analyze the eggshell characteristics from 14 cores production of fertile eggs. They were monitored for three months totaling 478,680 eggs that arrived at the hatchery, through a classification known as Egg Quality Assessment. The eggs were classified as dirty, face, thin skin and crooked. To grade eggs a table was used with a lamp which allowed a better view of them. After the classified eggs that had defects were discarded. After the evaluations, we determined that most centers have not reached the ideal indices, established by the company. However, eggs classified in receipt of hatchery clenched a higher percentage compared to dirty, crooked and deformed.
