VIOLÊNCIA DE GÊNERO: expressões e vivências de mulheres brasileiras migrantes em Portugal

Abstract

Considerations about gender violence in order to apprehend their expressions and experiences in Brazilian women who are in the condition of migrants living in Portugal. Based on theoretical, documentary and empirical contributions, subsidized by a case study carried out from January to December 2019, it discusses the complex phenomenon of migration and the challenges it poses for women, since it depends on a series of material and social conditions concrete, whose absences constitute obstacles to access basic rights, while at the same time exposing them to violations that harm human dignity and constitute gender violence. It is concluded that immigrant status, under certain circumstances in which belongings such as gender, ethnicity / culture, social class, can contribute to gender violence that makes women victims recurrent
