Triptychs for a future. Moral forces in the Revista de Filosofía

Abstract

It is interesting to think about the proposal of philosophy that Ingenieros rehearses from his last writings, in particular the texts published in the Revista de Filosofía, which would later be gathered in Las fuerzas morales. The article tries to point out a thread that links these works with his previous production. The hypothesis is that philosophy has a specific meaning there, which is understood only in the articulation with his other writings, and that it is this connection that allows him to keep open the dimension of the future, within which the possibility of thinking about youth and its role in the present will be inscribed. The argumentative path considers the issue from a perspective akin to conceptual history; it tries to inscribe the different interventions in a broader set that refers to the logics of meaning that operate in them and, from there, it distances itself from some installed readings that make of his definition of philosophy an expression that can be read in articulation with the discourse known as "anti-positivist".
