Abstract

The Alevi Bektashi belief system has many interconnected and interrelated concepts. When the infrastructure of these concepts is investigated, it is seen that the basic principles put forward by Hacı Bektaş Veli, who is considered the fountain of faith, have an important place. Based on the general data about Hacı Bektaş Veli’s life, it will be seen how he shaped the main elements of a systematic together with his own life. The data available on his line of life, which starts from Khorasan and extends to Anatolian geography, reveals the fact that what he said and wrote is the source of a deep belief and philosophy, even if they are not compatible and consistent with each other. Tolerance, one of the main sources of belief, reveals a special and distinctive structure beyond what is known and accepted. It is emphasized that the temporary desires of those who do not comprehend the significance of the relationship between essence and detail and are unaware of the sacrifices they must make to be close to God are insignificant. Instead, unity, size, and vitality are considered important. The basic principles and foundations of faith are discussed, stating that this unity can be achieved by protecting one’s hands, waist, and tongue. Differences are human acceptance. If a person does not get rid of these assumptions, he will certainly experience disappointment. While the world is being dragged into great destruction and chaos, it will be possible to dominate the world with an understanding and thought that wants the same thing for its brother as it does for itself, with the correct understanding of this belief. It aims to create a basis for thinking by discussing the basic sources on which the Alevi Bektashi belief system is based and the source that feeds these sources.
