Abstract

O presente texto analisa a evolução da oferta de educação superior, no turno noturno, em Goiás, tendo por base as reformas implementadas, sobretudo a partir da década de 1990. Busca-se compreender, em especial, como vem se estruturando a oferta de educação superior em Goiás e sua relação com as políticas públicas de educação superior no Brasil. O propósito básico é verificar se a expansão das matrículas dos cursos noturnos nas Instituições de Ensino Superior(IES), públicas e privadas, vem contribuindo com uma efetiva democratização do acesso a esse nível de ensino.Abstract This paper analyzes the evolution of the supply of higher education, on the night shift, in Goias, based on the reforms implemented, particularly since the 1990s. We seek to understand, inparticular, as has been structuring the provision of higher education in São Paulo and their relationship with the public policies of higher education in Brazil. The basic purpose is to ensure that the expansion of enrollment in night courses at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), public and private, has contributed to an effective democratization of access to that level of education.
