ANALYTICAL PHRASEMES IN FRENCH: STRUCTURAL AND SEMANTIC PARTICULARITIES OF VERBAL UNITS (ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION TREATIES)
Abstract
The article discusses phraseological verbal units which aren’t expressive (called here analytical phrasemes), but in which the component parts of the expression take on a meaning more specific than or otherwise not predictable from the sum of their meanings when used independently. The examples are taken from the official treaties where they are numerous.
