Homosexuality in Indonesia was still considered taboo and socially unaccepted. The common sexual orientation in the society was heterosexual, while homosexual was considered a form of sexual disorientation. The negative stigma from the society led to social anxiety on the homosexuals. The study aimed at investigating the different levels of social anxiety experienced by homosexuals, gays and lesbians. This non-experimental quantitative study employed social anxiety scale. The subjects were 30 gays and 30 lesbians. The findings revealed that there was a very significant difference between social anxiety levels on gays and lesbians with the t-score -5.906 and the significance value 0.000. In addition, the social anxiety level of the lesbians was higher than the gays.
