As a Cause of Fever Unknown Origin, Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia: a Case Report
Abstract
Introduction: Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia is a B cell lymphoplasmacytoid lymphoma. However, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia is not considered as a cause of fever unknown origin. Case Presentation: Here, we are presenting a 51-year old Caucasian woman with fever and she has been diagnosed as Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia when evaluating the fever origin. Conclusion: Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia might be considered in patients with unexplained fever.
