In the eighties and nineties, the impact of Deleuze, Foucault and Derrida on Argentine literary criticism was unavoidable; the readings, uses, deviations and torsions of the formulations of these French authors gave rise to new critical interventions and theoretical debates in our country. In this article we will investigate Beatriz Sarlo's questioning of the so-called "post-structuralist" theories —especially Foucault— and we will explain the ways in which the books of Josefina Ludmer, Jorge Salessi, Alan Pauls and Alberto Giordano propose new ways of understand and read the the political and the politics of literature, singular forms that differentiate the Argentine reception from the North American reception of the "French Theory" according to François Cusset.
