Il confine meridionale e i nostri spauracchi nazionalisti

Abstract

In the context of territorial issues concerning borders between states, the problem of minorities and the public use of history represents an extremely present topic. The essay aims to examine the case of slovak-hungarian relations, the State-population relationship issues, starting from the 1918 Trianon treaty in particular, and the installation of monuments and their symbolic representation in public spaces, considering the example of Komárno/Komárom, a city divided by the border between the two countries.
