Atomización electrotérmica de cadmio: Efecto del paladio, la mezcla paladio-magnesio y la velocidad de calentamiento térmico del atomizador

Abstract

The results obtained in the present study indicate that the atomization of Cd in the absence of modifiers is determined by the dissociation of cadmium oxide, the vaporization of cadmium and migration process of cadmium species in the atomizer. In the presence of Pd and Pd+Mg an increase on the appearance temperature of Cd is detected, which suggest an increase on the thermal stability of the atomic precursors of Cd, and the energies obtained depend on the mass of Pd and Mg, whichindicates the formation of intermetallic compounds Cd-Pd and Cd-Mg.
