Une remise de décoration au caractère hautement problématique : les Klarsfeld, Perpignan et Louis Aliot (RN)

Abstract

By agreeing to travel to Perpignan to be decorated by Louis Aliot, RN mayor, do the essential figures of the memory of the Shoah that are Serge Klarsfeld and his wife Beate participate in the normalization of the RN party, successor of the extreme right party “National Front”, openly racist and xenophobic ? After recalling the political commitments of Louis Aliot and those of the FN-RN, this article presents four positions of historians and associations worried about the effects of such a drift. The debate needs to be conducted while the RN presents itself as a major force capable of gaining power in France.
