TRANSNATIONAL PLAYERS IN TOURISM: REGIONAL FEATURES OF FUNCTIONING
Abstract
The purpose of our research is to describe the types of transnational corporations in tourism from the standpoint of the existing approaches to the typology of corporate models and to outline their advantages. The authors used the methods of logical and statistical analysis and the method of large-scale comparison of the analyzed phenomena. The authors described in detail American, German, and Islamic models of tourism conglomerates; analyzed sources of their global competitiveness. As a result of the study, it has been found the differences between the three models including the equation of technological progress, competitiveness growth, and management system.
