The purpose of the proposed article is to highlight the history of receipt, presentation of scientific research, analysis of the species composition and content of the collection fund № 419 "Actual documents on the history of land ownership of Ukraine in the XVII-XVIII centuries", which is kept in the Institute of Manuscripts of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, and the basis of which is the official documents of the orderly record keeping of the XV-XVII centuries, in particular lists/scrolls/columns. The research methodology is based on the application of methods of historical-typological and historical-systemic analysis, on the use of general scientific and special research methods (classification, typology, systematization). The scientific novelty consists in revealing the history of the formation and arrival of documents to the Institute of Manuscripts of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine. The species composition of documents is analyzed, the scheme and principles of archeographic description are represented. The research and scientific representation of the presented fund sheds light on the process of the history of land ownership in Ukraine in the XVII-XVIII centuries, namely, Ukrainian territories, cities and territories that were part of Ukraine, and territories that bordered the Ukrainian border. Conclusions. It was determined that the declared deed documents are unique in their composition and content as historical sources for the study of land holdings of Ukraine in the XVII-XVIII centuries. It is emphasized that the presented fund will undoubtedly be interesting for scientists, historians, paleographers, document scholars, etc. The available resource is undoubtedly of interest to historians, specialists in special historical disciplines, in particular in paleography and sphragistics, document studies, everyone who shows interest in the history of Ukraine, researches the historical heritage of their native land. The presented documents are of great cognitive and scientific importance for studying and overcoming gaps in the coverage of national history, because the manuscript heritage is the basis of historical research, and it is precisely on how thoroughly it is researched, scientifically elaborated and represented that the further development of historical science depends, and only the introduction the scientific circulation of new sources provides an opportunity to reveal new, so far unknown, sides of the history of our country.
