Comparison of force measuring devices with static and continuous loading

Abstract

Static and continuous investigations on a strain gauge and a piezoelectric force transducer have shown that a third-degree polynomial is suitable for describing a characteristic curve and that a function of three decaying exponential functions can precisely describe the time-dependent behaviour shortly after loading and unloading for both types of force transducers.
