While in need of being scrutinized, post-Enlightenment human evolutionary accounts do not pose a zero-sum game threat to the inherent worth of human dignity and can even provide helpful insights into human nature. Acknowledging man’s perennial interactions with other species is necessary in constructing the narrative of morality – or “inter-morality” – from the Fall to today.
