Dimensão e situação de Balança, Trombeta e Battleship na obra de Mário de Andrade

Abstract

This article aims at discussing the short story “Balança, Trombeta e Battleship”, by Mário de Andrade (1893-1945), published posthumously, in 1994; therefore, almost half a century after the author’s death. This discussion seeks to place this short story, which has received little attention by critics, in the panorama of Andrade’s work in general, considering his intelectual itinerary, for which this text intends to provide some correlations and clues for a better understanding of Andrade’s unity of thought.
