Comparison between Sealapex cement vs AH Plus cement
Abstract
Introduction: endodontic procedures have the purpose of restoring the functionality of the dental organ, so it is essential to determine the side effects of the biomaterials that are going to be used for their use, in the basic etiology it is described that the characteristic of a sealing cement must be predetermine a uniform seal throughout the root structure Objective: compare two types of root canal sealing cements Sealapex and AH Plus Development: endodontic treatment seeks to meet the main objective of eliminating microorganisms and preventing reinfection in root canals. For this reason, obturation of root canals is a key aspect to achieve this objective. Obturation consists of hermetically filling the root canals with an inert material and a sealing cement that stimulates the periapical repair process. Conclusions: When comparing both root canal sealers, it can be concluded that both are effective for sealing root canals in endodontic treatment, however, there are important characteristics that are key to successful sealing.
