Abstract

Read online

The research sought to identify how hypertextuality and interactivity, even when unrelated to the use of technologies, are confirmed as strategies that can broaden the reading experience. This is an exploratory research of qualitative nature. The method used was the ex post facto based on a "Traveling Book" project that consisted of putting two books to "travel" among forty readers encouraging them to interact with the works. The traveling books were And then there were none by Agatha Christie and A Playlist of Hayden by Michelle Falkoff. As a result, analysis levels were established on the Extended Reading (ranging from 1 to 7), which were indicated in the examples taken from the books from the project. The results confirmed different levels of readers’ action in the works and among readers, which broaden the reading experience.
