Historical perspective on the concept of health in ancient societies

Abstract

Ageing, one of the stages of human life, has been interpreted differently depending on the social context in which it has been analysed. The consideration of ageing in the 21st century demands a meditation about the concept through space and time, in order to understand wholly this complex phenomenon in human life, as a cultural not only biological fact.
