This article presents the results obtained from the recommended research: Reconstruction of Historical Memory in the municipality of Zulia with a socio-cultural and communication approach; whose purpose was to identify sociocultural elements of communication for the construction of individual and collective memory in the municipality of Zulia with the 9th grade youth of the Francisco de Paula Santander school, which enables the appropriation of the digital live point. The methodological horizon was of a qualitative nature, from a historical-hermeneutic approach, with a phenomenological method in which photographs, video recording, social cartography and observation will be used as techniques for collecting information; The population under study was 15 young people from the municipality of Zulia, victims of the armed conflict. The results reveal the individual memory and highlight the specific symbols of the youth of the municipality of Zulia in the framework of the armed conflict and resignify it in a collective space, where feelings and experiences are communicated, which corresponds to an appropriation of their social reality.
