Indicators for the selection of talents in the sports sailing in the Naiguatá parish, in Venezuela

Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of selecting the sailing sport from an integrative perspective. Indicators are proposed for selecting initial sport that brings together a number of variables (educational, psychological, sociological and anthropometric), which become indicators that correspond to the demands of the sports. The paper offers a comprehensive assessment system that is different from those presented in the bibliography consulted by the author. Its implementation is aimed at ensuring a more objective and inclusive selection in this crucial process.
