Multiparent advanced generation intercross(MAGIC) populations are one of the new generation of crop genetic population with high genetic recombination and diversity. At present, the quality of the elite weak-gluten wheat is unstable, and there are gaps between yield of elite weak-gluten wheat and raw material demands of biscuit manufacturers. Hence, it is urgent to cultivate new wheat varieties with stable quality(elite weak-gluten) and high yield. In this study, an eight-parent advanced generation intercross wheat population, which had 3 123 inbred lines were created. The traits such as agronomic character, seed phenotype, the quality of the seed of inbred lines were detected, the polymorphism of thousand-kernel-weight(TKW) related gene was also examined. The results showed that: 1) The MAGIC population is an efficient genetic mapping population because of its wide variation of main agronomic traits.2) The correlation between TKW and seed length, width, diameter and circumference is low(R~2< 0.3). 3) Molecular markers revealed that TaGASR7-A1 null allele is associated with low TKW, while TaGS-D1 null allele relate to high TKW. 4) Twenty candidate wheat lines with low gluten and high TKW were obtained.
