La dénomination « langue kabyle », un enjeu politique

Abstract

Kabyle has displayed a strong dynamic in recent years, placing it in a process of sociolinguistic individuation. A process that allowed the emergence of the name "Kabyle language", adopted by some and rejected by others. In this article we use the present tense discuss the dynamics of Kabyle and the denomination "Kabyle language" through the discourse of activists in the 70s and 80s who campaigned for the recognition of the Tamazight language.
